In support of his Floor Seats EP, A$AP Ferg has been on the road with MadeInTYO and Murda Beatz on the
Yedi Floor Seats Tour. For the West Coast leg of the tour Dreamville’s Bas joined in on the fun as well.
As they approach their halfway mark they made a stop in San Francisco at The Warfield. Following the opening acts of MadeInTYO and Bas, the DJ began spinning to keep everyone in it but it didn’t take long before the crowd began to chant “A$AP.”
If you’ve listened to any Ferg then you know the high-level energy he brings with his music; it was no different with his live performance as he came right out swinging with the EP title track. The Harlem rapper goes on to perform two more songs before he begins to talk a little more with the crowd, explaining “I understand we’re on the west coast but imma need to take y’all to Harlem, can I do that?”
On top of performing songs from his latest project Ferg was sprinkling in songs from his previous albums, including his 2013 debut Trap Lord. The show wasn’t a full on rager as he slows things down by performing songs like “Mattress,” but not before calling a few ladies on stage to help him out.
A$AP Ferg kept throwing hints of a special guest but didn’t want to bring the individual out until the audience was on the right level and you guessed it, that was the queue for “New Level.” It wasn’t long after when “No Limit” dropped and out came the Bay Area’s own G-Eazy. In the middle of the performance another individual runs out who is none other than Klay Thompson (yes, the 3 time NBA champ)!
The mosh pits never slowed down and if anything, progressively got larger as the show went on. What other way would you want the show to close out than hearing a live performance of his biggest song to date, “Plain Jane.”
If you have a chance to catch A$AP Ferg on this tour it is highly recommended. Good energy and good vibes for the entire night.
