Crenshaw & Slauson Intersection To Be Named After Nipsey Hussle

The appreciation for Nip continues.

Crenshaw Boulevard and Slauson Avenue is a major intersection in South Central Los Angeles. Nipsey Hussle continuously mentioned those streets throughout his music and that corner is home to his The Marathon Clothing store; unfortunately it is also where he was killed.

In Nip’s honor, City Councilman Marqueece Harris-Dawson has announced that the intersection will be named “Ermias ‘Nipsey Hussle’ Asghedom Square.” The motion for the name change will be made at the upcoming council meeting this Friday.

Nipsey’s memorial service will be taking place on Thursday (4/11) at the Staples Center and without a surprise it will be a full house as tickets have all been given out. If you’re in the Los Angeles area, you can pay your respect during the procession as they’ll be going through his neighborhood.
