YG decides to take a moment to share some of his “Big Bank” with a start-up organization called Girl Code LA, whose focus is to help young women (ages 7 and up) learn and get started in the tech world.
As we all wait for Stay Dangerous to drop tonight, the Bompton rapper delivered a check for $150,000 to GCLA. He spoke on how this donation was inspired by his daughter, “With my donation I hope they’ll be able to expand their reach of future female coders and programmers. I want to make sure I’m doing my part. I got a daughter and I respect the G Code.”
YG also donated BeatsByDre headphones to the the young women of GCLA.
